About The Living Room

The Living Room, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, is a chat shop based in North Point Shopping Centre in Bransholme, Hull.

Managed by Back to Ours and a Steering Group made up of local residents, the aim of The Living Room is to offer a safe and accessible space for local people and shoppers to drop in and have their say, helping to combat social isolation with chat and encouraging participation in arts activities.

Visitors have the chance to try lots of different things, from crafting to cake decorating, karaoke to chatting to historians about the history of Bransholme or visiting an exhibition in the gallery space at the back of the shop; it’s a vibrant space, all about trying something different and meeting new people.
