The vision? To give people access to world-class, free live music right in the heart of their communities.
Trying to hide an orchestra in a supermarket or shopping centre would be a bit difficult, so Passion for Classical combines centuries-old instruments and technology to allow musicians to play alongside a virtual orchestra.
Taking some of the most iconic songs from the world of pop and giving them a totally unique classical twist, Elliot Jarvis and his Passion for Classical team popped up across two days at Asda Mount Pleasant and North Point Shopping Centre. Surprising shoppers and entertaining passers-by, those lucky enough to catch it were treated to a tour-de-force of classical spins on Bowie, Queen, Jess Glynn and more.
