Since last March, we’ve been finding different ways to keep connecting with audiences at home – we might not be coming Right on your Doorstep for the moment, but we can definitely beam a bit of BTO right to your home, Right on your Sofa.
We’ve introduced a regular Monday night bedtime story for families to gather round and watch, a Friday evening gig – music and singers across all genres, poetry, and even a Circus on your Sofa – and artist takeover days from Studio McGuire (our digital partners), The Herd (our associate theatre company), Lydia Caprani (the artist on our Bilton Grange Mural Project and illustrator of our beautiful children’s activity book for lockdown) and Lost in Translation (one of our circus partners).
There’s also been plenty going on behind the scenes, with:
9 Zoom drama workshops;
250 Back to Ours arts activity books distributed throughout the city, designed by Lydia Caprani;
100+ artists and freelancers employed during lockdowns;
Close to 1000 chats with people through Bransholme Chat since moving to a telephone service;
More than 1700 chats with people, inside and outside Bransholme Chat since January 2020.
On 16 March 2020, our Facebook page was liked by 3373 people. This now (as of January 2021) stands at 5348 and we’ve had a whopping total digital audience of 1,399,780 people and growing.
Everyone’s welcome to the BTO party, so hop onto our Facebook page and see if you find something you like…
